Activities Held by the Mackay Maltese Club include:

Social Get - togethers: usually held on the first Friday or Saturday of the following months: February, April, June and September. These usually take place in the form of a dinner dance at a local sports club or sometimes as a family picnic and fun day at one of the local beaches.

Annual Festa tal Vittoria / Feast of Our Lady of Victories held in September each year includes rosary procession with the statue of Our Lady of Victories, outdoor concelebrated Mass, Maltese folk dancing, Photographic exhibition: Our Shared Heritage and a dinner dance.

Calander of Events:

Annual General Meeting is held the first Thursday of August each year at 7pm.

Committee Meetings are held on 1st Thursday of each month, from February to Novemeber at the Francis of Assisi Home, Dupuy St, West Mackay at 7:30pm.

Book launch: From Humble Beginings - Mackay Maltese Pioneers 1883-1940 held on Sunday 16th December, 2001. The Mackay Maltese Club is very proud to be associated with the launch of Carmel Baretta and Laraine Schembri's book which details the life and times of the first Maltese immigrants to settle in the Mackay district. They are for sale for $60 plus P&H.

Global Grooves
Global Grooves in the Botanic Gardens

Maltese and their decendants are invited to participate in this event. Wear traditional costumes or just red and white. Bocce games will be played.
